Gordon's Bay is home base. The truck is parked here, the routes are second nature, and same-day usually means within the hour.

Home ground
There is a real difference between a company that lists Gordon's Bay as a service area and one that actually operates out of it. A Cape Town outfit quoting a job in Harbour Island is pricing in an hour down the N2 each way, and you pay for that whether anyone says so or not.
Cliff lives and works here. The truck is parked here. When you message about a load in Sunny Cove or up on Mountainside, the drive is measured in minutes, which is exactly why same-day is realistic here in a way it isn't for an operator coming from Montague Gardens.
It also means the local knowledge is real. We know which streets on the mountain side are too steep and narrow for a badly-placed skip. We know the complexes off Beach Road that want notice before a container lands on a parking bay. We know what the wind does to an unsecured load of garden refuse on the R44 in October.
Delivery and collection are included within 10 km of Gordon's Bay, and essentially all of Gordon's Bay sits comfortably inside that. No distance charge, no fuel levy, no minimum-job surcharge for being out of the way — because you're not.

Harbour Island and the older streets close to the beachfront generate a steady stream of bathroom and kitchen strip-outs. Salt air is unkind to fittings, and properties here get refreshed more often than inland equivalents. That means tile and rubble loads — and a reminder that ceramic and porcelain tiles carry the R375 sorting fee, so bagging them separately as they come off the wall is worth the ten minutes.
Properties climbing up towards the Steenbras side have gardens that grow hard and back onto veld. Clearing dry growth away from the house before the summer wind arrives is not housekeeping, it is defensible space, and it is the busiest garden refuse window of our year. Book early in that season — the same-day promise gets thinner when the whole mountain side has the same idea on the same weekend.
A lot of Gordon's Bay stock is let seasonally, and turnover generates clear-outs: tenant leftovers, tired furniture, the contents of a garage nobody has opened since the last owner. Those are clear-out jobs, and for agents working to a listing deadline we can usually turn one around inside a day.
Gordon's Bay has two kinds of address: flat, easy, driveway-and-done — and steep, narrow, and shared with a retaining wall. Both are fine. But a photo of the access route is worth more here than almost anywhere else in the Helderberg, because it is the difference between a skip landing neatly and a truck reversing 80 metres uphill.

Nobody thinks in cubic metres. Everyone can picture a wheelbarrow. Drag the slider to roughly how many barrow loads are sitting there, and we'll tell you what it needs — then send it straight to Cliff.
A builder's wheelbarrow holds about 0.1 m³. Twenty-five of them fill one 2.5 m³ skip.
About 1.8 m³ — comfortably inside one 2.5 m³ skip. Leave it standing while you fill it over a day or two, then message Cliff to collect.
