Somerset West is the largest town in the Helderberg and it generates the widest range of work we do. Large established gardens that fill a skip on their own. Renovations running in Heldervue and Parel Vallei. Estate properties with access rules and an HOA. Office and retail strip-outs around the business nodes. And the steady background of people simply clearing out a garage that got away from them.
Most Somerset West addresses fall inside the 10 km radius from Gordon's Bay, which means delivery and collection are included. A handful of the further-flung spots towards Croydon and Firlands sit just beyond it — in which case the extra distance is charged at the standard AA / SARS per-kilometre rate, quoted before you commit rather than added afterwards.
Somerset West gardens are generous by Helderberg standards, and mature. Oak leaf drop in autumn, a serious spring cut-back, hedges that need two goes a year, and palms that shed fronds no wheelie bin will ever accept. Garden refuse is light but extremely bulky — you run out of space long before you run out of weight — so it is worth using the estimator on this page before assuming one load will cover it.

Erinvale, Schonenberg, Heritage Park and the surrounding estates all have their own rules about contractor access, delivery hours and how long a container may stand. None of it is difficult, and we have worked in most of them — but the drop goes smoothly when the guardhouse is expecting us, and badly when it is not. A quick word with your estate manager before booking saves a wasted trip.
These are the streets where houses get reworked rather than replaced, which means steady rubble: bathroom strip-outs, kitchen refits, paving lifts, boundary walls coming down. For a job running over a week or more, a skip standing on site is almost always better value than repeated collections — the contractor throws debris in as it comes off, and we rotate the unit when it fills.
Somerset West has real commercial volume, and office jobs have their own rhythm. Strip-outs, shopfitting waste, archive clear-outs and old IT equipment. Most of it is best done after hours or over a weekend so nobody loses a trading day — which suits us, because Cliff works seven days.
Central Somerset West is comfortably inside the included-delivery radius. Out towards Croydon, Firlands and the far side of the R44 you may cross it. That does not mean we won't come — it just means the per-kilometre rate applies, and Cliff will tell you the number before you agree to anything.
